Minute Media has officially announced the acquisition of VideoVerse, the AI-driven sports video technology company best known for its flagship product Magnifi. This move signals Minute Media’s intention to assemble a full-stack, 360-degree solution for rightsholders, leagues, teams, publishers, and marketers—covering the entire chain from content creation to distribution to monetization.
At the heart of VideoVerse’s offering is its AI-powered platform that instantly identifies key moments in sporting events, auto-generates highlight reels, and distributes them across digital channels in real-time. Built on computer vision, NLP, and machine learning, Magnifi analyzes both video and audio inputs to capture pivotal moments faster than traditional editing workflows. Current clients include the Portuguese Football Federation, Danish Leagues, Willow TV, ECHL, Pro Panja League, and Singapore Soccer7s, underscoring its global reach.
The acquisition aims to integrate VideoVerse’s AI tools with Minute Media’s portfolio of properties and platforms, such as Sports Illustrated, The Players’ Tribune, and STN Video. By merging AI-powered highlight generation with a robust publishing and distribution infrastructure, the combined entity promises a streamlined pipeline that delivers high-quality, short-form sports content to fans everywhere while maximizing monetization opportunities for rights holders.
VideoVerse’s leadership emphasized the strategic alignment. CEO Vinayak Shrivastav framed the deal as a defining moment, stressing that AI should be used to unlock new value for sports media rights holders, while CRO Meghna Krishna highlighted that the decision to join Minute Media followed careful evaluation of global players before identifying the best fit. Minute Media’s CEO, Asaf Peled, echoed this sentiment, calling it a chance to deliver the “very best in AI-powered creation” for both owned properties and partner organizations.
VideoVerse’s growth has been fueled by marquee investors including Venture East, Moneta Ventures, Alpha Wave Global, Audacity, Evolvence India, Bluestone Equity Partners, and 9Unicorns. This backing not only accelerated its development but also validated its positioning as a global player in sports-tech AI. Under Minute Media, the technology is expected to expand further, both in reach and sophistication, with a clear focus on pioneering next-generation AI video capabilities.
By blending VideoVerse’s machine intelligence with Minute Media’s global content networks and partnerships, the acquisition positions both companies to reshape how fans experience sports—transforming live game moments into instant, monetizable storytelling.
